Who are we & what do we do

After enjoying several seasons shooting and before that many more beating and working his English Springer Spaniels photographer, writer and author Matt Limb OBE started an ever-growing collection of shoot cards, or as they are sometimes referred to, game cards.

Shoot cards make a memorable reminder of a day’s shooting in the company of likeminded people, whilst enjoying the British countryside. But Matt soon found that shoot captains, and indeed gamekeepers, can often have problems getting them printed in the correct quantity and at the right quality.

So, given his background, it was time to do something about this and put something back into the rural economy and the shooting industry, after all a good day’s shooting should be remembered with a good shoot card. Soon Shoot Cards UK emerged as a swift and simple service for designing and printing bespoke shoot cards, with online ordering and proofing plus swift print and delivery times, all carried out from the comfort of your home or the office.

Personalised Design

Your shoot cards will be bespoke in their design, offering the facility to have your shoot name along with the names of the shoot captain and gamekeepers, plus a full-colour photograph on the front if required, or upload your own logo, image or drawing

Online Ordering & Proofing Service

The ordering and design requirements are via a dedicated online ordering system, following this and the initial design you have access to a proofing service to make any final amendments, again conveniently online

High-Quality Printing

Your shoot cards will be printed on a 350gsm Art Board Silk, which is heavier than similar shoot cards, so not only do they look good, but they also feel great, plus it is responsibility sourced so you are helping the environment and all cards have an envelope for storage

After approval of the design and its delivery to the printers, your shoot cards will be printed and delivered free of charge, typically in ten working days, so no need to leave home or office in the order, proof, print or delivery procedures

What size are the shoot cards?

Our shoot cards are A6 in size which is 105 x 148 mm, approx. 4 x 6 inch.

The shoot cards will be printed on a dedicated 350gsm Art Board Silk, this is heavier than many similar products, so not only do they look good, but they also feel great and this quality material allows for the high-quality printing, plus it is certified as responsibly sourced so you are helping the environment.

Your shoot cards will arrive flat and creased, ready for writing on before folding, also remember the shoot cards will have an envelope to help keep them clean or for storage.

What is the normal layout and design of the shoot cards?

Our standard design places a colour photograph on the front, which can be selected from an online gallery, see below, or you can use your own illustration, photograph, line drawing or almost any other artwork.

Inside the card on the left- hand page is the where you enter the shoot date and a list of the Guns names.  Inside on the right-hand page will be a list of species, which you select during the order process and the total bag of the day, plus the total shots counted if required.

Finally, on the back of the card is the opportunity to add the name of the shoot captain and gamekeeper along with contact details, such as telephone numbers or emails.

How do I order my shoot cards?

Simply follow the process of entering the required information, including the delivery address and information you want on your shoot cards.

The order process finishes with ordering the number of shoot cards you require, this starts at just 50 cards, remember all cards come with envelopes, which helps keep them clean after a day in the field.

Once the order process has finished the initial design of your shoot card will start. Next, you will receive an email asking you to look and review your design, this will allow you to see a full-colour proof of your shoot card remotely online.

At this stage, you can, if required, make any changes that may be necessary.

Once any amendments are complete and you approve the final design it will be sent for print. In about ten working days your shoot cards will be delivered directly to your specified delivery address.

Can I use the shoot logo on the front of my shoot cards?

Yes, of course, you can.

This can use a photograph you own, a line drawing or almost any other illustration you want.

During the order process, you will be asked if you want a photograph on the front page of your shoot card, select ‘I will upload’ and you will be asked for the file during the design process.

Finally, you must have the full permission of the copyright holder to use the illustration on your shoot card, sadly without this, we will not be able to use it.
